V.A. promotes its present Bay Pines (C.W Bill Young) director. “This is unacceptable to me.” George Buck

As a veteran with a service-connected disability that receives services at Bay Pines/C.W. Bill Young VA, I have felt the impact of the relentless bureaucracy having an appeal for the past seven years. However, the employees, staff and doctors are exceptional. They are also at the mercy of this bureaucracy as well.

In a statement about the leadership change, Congressman Crist said, "Bay Pines is a world class facility. But over the last year, serious concerns have been raised, calling into question the leadership of this preeminent facility. For the well being of our veterans and Bay Pines employees, this is a positive step for the entire community and an opportunity to get things back on track." ( )

Congressman Crist’s statement fails right after touting Bay Pines as a world class facility. This promotion is NOT a good thing! We are taking local VA director Klinker who has failed in her leadership (raising serious questions and concerns about the quality of care) and now putting her in a position that oversees VA facilities in 79 counties in Florida, South Georgia, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

When elected, I will rapidly be addressing issues plaguing Bay Pines. My intention is to move one of my Congressional offices to the campus of Bay Pines which will allow our Veterans and the staff at Bay Pines access to their Congressional Representative easily., on Facebook at: or Twitter at:
